Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Bonjour Medical ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit, use our services, or make a purchase from bonjourmedical.com (the "Site") or otherwise communicate with us regarding the Site (together, the "Services"). "You" and "your" means you as the user of the Services, whether you are a customer, a patient, a caregiver ordering for a patient, a website visitor, or another individual whose information we have collected under this Privacy Policy.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use or access the Services.
Medical information
We do not ask for medical information on the Site, in order notes, or by regular email, and we ask that you not send it. Prescriptions for equipment come to us directly from the patient's provider by fax.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on the Site, update the "Last updated" date, and take any other steps required by applicable law.
What personal information we collect
The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with the Site and the Services. "Personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can be associated with you.
Information you give us directly
- Contact details: your name, shipping and billing address, phone number, and email address.
- Order information: the items ordered, the patient's full name and the prescribing provider's name (entered on the product page), your shipping and billing address, email, phone number, and payment confirmation. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment processor, not stored by us.
- Account information: your email address, which we use to send a one-time sign-in code. We do not use passwords.
- Customer support information: what you choose to include when you email us or use a form on the Site, such as the "Not in your state yet?" form (name, email, state, and provider or clinic).
Some features of the Services require this information. You may choose not to provide it, but doing so may prevent you from using those features.
Information we collect about your usage
We may automatically collect information about how you interact with the Services using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies ("Cookies"). Usage data may include device and browser information, your network connection and IP address, and the pages you view.
Information we receive from third parties
- Companies that support the Site and Services, such as Shopify.
- Our payment processor, which collects payment information (card number, billing address) to process your payment and fulfill your order.
- Prescriptions, which come to us by fax from the patient's healthcare provider, not through the Site.
How we use your personal information
- Providing products and services. To process your payment, match your order to the prescription, arrange shipping, send you order, shipping, and account notifications, and create and manage your account.
- Customer support. To respond to your questions and resolve problems with an order or warranty claim.
- Security and fraud prevention. To detect, investigate, or take action regarding possible fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activity. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, because we use one-time codes sent to your email to sign you in.
- Legal and operational purposes. To comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, and protect or defend the Services, our rights, and the rights of others.
We do not use your personal information for marketing or advertising, and we do not send marketing emails, texts, or mail.
Cookies
Like many websites, we use Cookies on the Site. For information about the Cookies used to power our store with Shopify, see https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies. We use Cookies to run the Site and the Services (including to remember your actions and preferences) and to understand how the Site is used.
Most browsers accept Cookies by default, but you can set your browser to remove or reject them. Blocking Cookies may cause some features of the Services to work incorrectly or not at all.
The Site recognizes the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends it, we treat it as a valid opt-out request for that browser or device. To learn more, visit https://globalprivacycontrol.org/. We do not recognize other "Do Not Track" signals.
How we disclose personal information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone for marketing, advertising, or any purpose of their own. We have never done so.
We disclose personal information only to the service providers we need to run the Site and deliver your order, and only what each one needs:
| Recipient | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify | Order, account, and usage information | Hosts the Site and store |
| Payment processor | Payment card details and billing address | Processes your payment |
| Equipment manufacturer or distributor that ships your order | Ship-to name and address, items ordered | Packs and ships the order to you |
| Shipping carrier | Ship-to name, address, and phone number | Delivers the package |
Each of these providers may use your information only to perform services for us, under their own privacy and security obligations.
We may also disclose personal information when required by law (for example, to respond to a subpoena), to enforce our terms, to protect the rights and safety of our customers or others, or in connection with a merger, sale, or other business transfer, subject to this Privacy Policy.
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information except to deliver the product you ordered.
Third-party websites and links
The Site may link to websites operated by third parties, such as the equipment manufacturer's support site. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of those sites. Please review their policies before providing information to them.
Children's data
The Services are not intended for use by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian may order equipment for a minor patient; in that case the parent or guardian is our customer. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information directly, contact us using the details below and we will delete it.
Security and retention
No security measure is perfect, and information you send to us may not be secure in transit. Please do not send medical or other sensitive information by regular email. We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain your account, keep warranty and transaction records, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. They are not absolute, may apply only in certain circumstances, and in some cases we may decline a request as permitted by law.
- Access: to request the personal information we hold about you and how we use and share it.
- Deletion: to request that we delete your personal information.
- Correction: to request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Portability: to receive a copy of your personal information in a usable format.
- Restriction or withdrawal of consent: to ask us to stop or limit our processing, or to withdraw consent where we rely on it.
- Appeal: to appeal a decision if we decline your request, by replying to our response.
To exercise any of these rights, email us using the contact details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. We may need to verify your identity (for example, through your account email) before responding. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may require proof of that authorization and may need to verify your identity directly.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal information, contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response, depending on where you live you may be able to appeal or to lodge a complaint with your state attorney general or local data protection authority.

We sell and ship only within the United States (currently Virginia and Maryland). If you visit the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States by us and our service providers.
