Our tip: start at 20 mmHg each session and work up to the level your provider prescribed.
Had a serious reaction or problem? Stop using the system, contact your provider, and email us at care@bonjourmedical.com. In an emergency, call 911.
Quick start
- Chill the gel pack in the freezer for about 6 hours, then slide it into the wrap.
- Put the wrap on over a layer of clothing, never directly on bare skin. Fasten the straps so it's snug, not tight.
- Connect the hose to Port 1 on the pump (use Port 2 for a second wrap), then plug the adapter into the pump and a wall outlet.
- Press and hold the power button to turn the pump on.
- Press P1 (or P2) to set compression. Always start at 20 mmHg. Once that feels comfortable, step up gradually (40, 60, 80, 100 mmHg) until you reach the level your provider prescribed. The pump starts on its own after 3 seconds, and you can change the pressure while it runs.
- Press TIME to set the session from 10 to 120 minutes, in 10-minute steps. If you don't set it, the pump runs 30 minutes and turns itself off.
- When you're done, press and hold the power button to turn it off.

Good to know: Use the system as your provider prescribed (compression level, session length and how often). Compression: start at 20 mmHg each time and work up to your prescribed level; if a level feels too tight, go back down a step. Cold: never leave the gel pack on for more than 30 minutes at a time. If your prescribed session is longer, take the gel pack out at 30 minutes; you can keep using compression. The wrap inflates, holds for a few seconds, then releases and repeats; that's normal. The number on the screen is the live pressure.
Know your pump

- Power button (⏻): press and hold to turn the pump on or off.
- P1 / P2: set the compression for the wrap on Port 1 or Port 2.
- TIME: set the session length.
- Display: shows the live pressure, or OP1 / OP2 if a port has a problem.
- Indicator lights: show which port is running. A flashing light means that port needs attention (see Troubleshooting).
- Ports 1 and 2 are on the bottom edge for the wrap hoses. The charging input is on the side.
Putting on your wrap
For every wrap: chill the gel pack, attach it to the inside of the wrap, put the wrap on over a layer of clothing, fasten the straps snug but not tight, and connect the hose to the pump. Keep the hose free of kinks.
Leg and knee

- Lay the wrap flat, Velcro side up, and attach the gel pack.
- Wrap it around the leg so the gel pack covers the treatment area.
- Fasten the Velcro straps so it fits snugly.
Shoulder

- Attach the gel pack inside the shoulder wrap.
- Place the wrap over the shoulder and fasten it around the upper arm.
- Attach the extension band at the back, bring it under the opposite arm to the chest and fasten it.
- Use the arm sling to support the forearm and limit movement.
Elbow and arm

- Attach the gel pack inside the wrap.
- Wrap it around the arm with the elbow centered over the gel pack.
- Fasten the straps snugly.
Ankle and foot

- Attach the main gel pack and the separate sole gel piece to the wrap.
- Set your foot on the wrap, then fold it up from the sole.
- Wrap the sides around the ankle and fasten the straps.
Hip
- Attach the gel pack inside the wrap.
- Position the wrap so the gel pack sits over the hip you're treating.
- Fasten the straps snugly, following the instruction sheet packed with your wrap.
Back
- Attach the gel pack inside the wrap.
- Position the wrap so the gel pack sits over the area of your back you're treating.
- Bring the straps around your waist and fasten them snugly, following the instruction sheet packed with your wrap.
Stop and call your provider if you feel throbbing, pulsing or numbness that doesn't ease after loosening the wrap, or if swelling increases. Don't use the system if your provider hasn't cleared you, especially if you have or may have a blood clot, poor circulation, nerve damage or reduced feeling, an open wound or infection in the area, or a cold-sensitivity condition.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Pump won't turn on (plugged in) | Make sure the outlet works and the adapter plug is pushed all the way into the pump. |
| Pump won't turn on (on batteries) | Check that both batteries are in the right way (+ and − marked inside the slot). Use protected 18650 batteries only. |
| Can't feel any pressure | Check that the hose isn't folded or kinked, especially where it joins the wrap. |
| Beeping, “OP1” or “OP2” on the screen, or a flashing light | The pump couldn't reach your pressure on that port (OP1 = Port 1, OP2 = Port 2), so it stopped. Push the hose connector in firmly and check the hose and wrap for leaks or damage, then start again. |
| Buttons don't respond | Make sure nothing is pressing on or stuck around the buttons. |
| Batteries run down quickly | Replace both batteries at the same time with new protected 18650 batteries of 2000 mAh or more. |
| Throbbing, pulsing or numbness | The wrap may be too tight. Loosen it right away. If it doesn't ease, or you notice more swelling or skin changes, stop and call your provider. |
| Missing part or damaged on arrival | Email care@bonjourmedical.com with your order number and a photo. Please don't contact your clinic. |
